What makeup product can you not live without? For me, that’s a simple answer… MASCARA!
Today’s blog post features the Superhero Mascara by It Cosmetics!
Many of you know that I love this mascara because I rave about it on snapchat often and it’s a must-have when I travel. I used to use two mascaras every day, but not since March. When I’m sent new launches or when I buy products myself, I always like to take pictures first, then test out for at least 1-2 months, and then give my thoughts. I’ve been using Superhero since March and repurchased my 2nd one from Ulta towards the end of June, and just purchased another one for my freelance kit! Continue Reading
Hey Readers 🙂 Today’s review features the Rainforest After Dark Palette from Tarte Cosmetics. Can we just stare at this packaging for a minute? Who isn’t going to toss out the box?
This palette is part of the 2014 Fall Collection, therefore, it is limited edition. If it’s something you’re interested in– hurry before it’s no longer available. This palette is an eye and cheek palette. It features a highlighter, bronzer, blush, and 6 eye shadows.
highlighter– champagne bronzer– park avenue princess (matte) blush– unleashed eyeshadows (6):
– bare to explore
– make a mauve
-plum away with me
-up to no gold
-tan-gled up in you
-don’t turn a-brown
*Here are some swatches for you: [left to right] ^ Champagne & Park Avenue Princess
[left to right w/out the use of primer] ^ bare to explore, make a mauve, plum away with me
[left to right w/out the use of primer] ^ up to no gold, tan-gled up in you, don’t turn a-brown
Here is a look I created using the palette.
I applied “up to no gold.”
Then, I applied “tan-gled up in you on the lid” onto the crease and blended the 2 colors together.
After, I applied “don’t turn a-brown” onto the outer v & blended some more. Lashes are “ABBIE” from Flutter Lashes.
This is another look I created using the palette.
The lashes in this look are Red Cherry #43’s.
For this look, I applied “bare to explore” all over my eye.
Then, I applied “make a mauve” on the lid.
After, I applied “plum away with me” onto the outer corner & blended into my crease.
Eyeliner is QUILL from Lime Crime.
* Overall, I’m really loving this palette. I’ve got fair skin & the colors really pop on me– especially that gold. I just love neutrals and golds! However, all the colors are pigmented, therefore, they will look beautiful on all skin tones. This is a travel friendly palette and so convenient since it includes 6 shadows, a highlighter, blush and bronzer all in one sleek compact! There is amazing color payoff. These colors are easy to apply and build. The plus side to this palette and rare when compared to other palettes is that I DID NOT get any eyeshadow fallout. Crazy, right? I didn’t use a primer to apply the swatches on my hand, but I always apply an eye shadow primer on my eyelids before any make-up application. It guarantees long lasting and true to color shadows on your lids. The only thing that really shocked me was the blush. It’s a pretty color, but wasn’t long wearing for me. It could’ve just been a bad day for my skin– super hot and I had spent the day at Disneyland.
I’m loving the sturdy packaging with a built in mirror. It’s a very versatile palette. I truly believe that you get what you pay for and in this case, even more. I’m loving this palette, therefore I definitely recommend it! So go to your local Sephora or Ulta, check it out in person if you’re on the rocks about this palette. If you’re in love already, you can order online http://tartecosmetics.com 🙂 I hope you love it as much as I do!
This is an easy-to-use tinted brow gel that is said to be “infused with colored clay and lets you enhance, define and shape your brows like a pro for a perfectly groomed arch every time!” I personally agree! If you’re in a rush and you don’t have the time to pull out your Brow Pencil or Powder– or maybe you even use an eyeshadow to fill in your brows, but can’t find your favorite brush. This here will be your new BFF 🙂 What I love most is that a little bit of product goes a long way! It took me less than 7 seconds to apply the brow gel to each brow. It will fit in your make-up bag or purse. Easy for touch-ups, great for vacations. Your brows will be on point every time.
Here I show you the difference it makes on my brows. The shade I used is RICH BROWN.
The left side has the tinted brow gel application– the right is my natural brow.
I’m loving the difference it makes— and so quick!

You’re getting 24 products! You can keep all 3 boxes for yourself, or goft 3 boxes, or maybe you’re “eyeing” the lip products and not the eyeshadows. These would make great gifts! If you haven’t yet tried Tarte cosmetics, you will especially love their lip products and the eyeliners in this set! Everything is highly pigmented. 5 stars!
I definitely recommend this holiday gift set from Tarte! One day only special of $49.96!
PROS: so affordable, amazing deal, great gift set for you or someone else, pigmentation of products is great!
CONS: none really(: I just wish they could label the names of the shadows on the actual box!
I absolutely adore all packaging for Urban Decay products! This is so whimsical!
This is the back of the packaging- let’s you know what shades are included!
And here it is– my beloved baby! I love the many shades of purple on the packaging!
Also, fell in love with the jewels on top of the palette!
And here we have 20 new and exclusive shades. This palette retails for $59.00–
If you do the math, you are only paying $3.00 per shadow.
This palette also has a very large mirror, as well as sleek plastic packaging.
You also get a dual ended brush to apply & blend your eyeshadow.
I must say that I think 20 new shadows, a dual ended brush, & beautiful, sleek packaging is worth the $59.00

Today I’ll be sharing my review of one of my most recent MAC purchases.
These are 3 of 4 highlighter pens which MAC carries.
About a year ago, I reviewed the Bright Forecast pen & I loved it–
so I recently decided to purchase it again & add 2 more to my kit!
These are the 3 that I purchased: Light Boost, Radiant Rose, & a repurchase of Bright Forecast.
I didn’t purchase Peach Lustre– but I may in the future & I’ll create a separate review.
These are the color labels on the pens.
Left to Right: LIGHT BOOST, RADIANT ROSE, BRIGHT FORECAST.
These highlighter pens are perfect for me– and easy to use within seconds.
You have to twist the pen to get product out.
Here is what the pen looks like prior to twisting and retrieving product.
Again, here we have Light Boost (top), Radiant Rose (middle), Bright Forecast (bottom).
These pens are made to “highlight”– which in my opinion: gives dimension, brightens & perfects the face.
If you have under eye bags & dark circles, these pens will be perfect for you!
Light Boost: yellow toned highlighter (creates a brightening effect)
Radiant Rose: pink toned highlighter (creates a brightening effect)
Bright Forecast: peachy colored highlighter (amazing at covering dark circles due to the salmon/orange color)
***Overall, I am so satisfied with my purchase. I think these highlighters are great! I like using light boost on it’s own under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose because it gives me that brightening effect. However, it doesn’t do much concealing. I would suggest using the pen to highlight, & then add your concealer on top. Bright Forecast is amazing at concealing those dark circles due to the salmon/orange color. All in all, I like the products and I will always have these in my kit. Easy to use, thin & all around perfect for my clients! I definitely think you need to go into your nearest MAC store & play with these babies!
Can you believe they only cost $1.50? Love the price on these bad boys!
My clients love them, I love them– so happy!
And here is a look I created using the GYPSY lashes!
*Overall, I really am loving these lashes! The price per lashes is amazing & sometimes lashes are sold for .90 each! I am personally satisfied! They’re cheap, they look good, etc. I used to spend $4-5 for lashes per client, & never charge them extra. Now, I can purchase these & not feel so poor by the end of the month! I’m really impressed, & I can’t say enough good things! Check out the website, they have quite a variety of lashes you can choose from depending on the look you’re going for! Hope you enjoyed the review, xo!
PROS: so affordable, easy to apply, & flexible lash band.
