VIB Sale Recommendations:

Below, I will be linking products that I use on a daily or weekly basis, and are products that I buy and truly love! If you follow me on social media, or you read my blog, products featured should not be a surprise to you guys 🙂

PRIMER for DRY skin: Make-Up Forever // Step 1 Skin Equalizer, HYDRATING Primer

I have very dry skin, especially under my eyes and around my nose. Although I do moisturize and exfoliate my skin, I am still very dry sometimes, but this primer is AMAZING. I know Make-Up Forever sells many primers, but this is the one I use on my face! I also keep one in my freelance kit for clients and love it!!

Primer for OILY skin: Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector

If you don’t have dry skin and have oily or combination skin, I recommend the Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector from BECCA. Literally, this primer is amazing if you have dry skin. I’ve used it on myself and I can’t use it because I’m so dry, but it’s perfect for my clients! It literally slurps up your oils. Don’t rub as you’re applying, just pat it into your skin and your makeup will last and stay matte.

Foundation: Hourglass Vanish™ Seamless Finish Foundation Stick

I love this foundation and it’s pretty full coverage for me. It looks amazing in photos and I only wear this for special occasions and events really. I use a dense brush to apply and buff it into my skin,  and then go in w/ my damp beauty blender to make sure the application is flawless.

CC Cream: IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream

I swear by the IT Cosmetic’s CC cream! Ohhh my lord, it is full coverage, covers my redness, and makes me look and feel amazing. I was introduced to this CC cream about a year and a half ago, I use it every day and I love it so much! I can’t tell you guys how many times I’ve repurchased. The CC cream looks like skin and I love it, simple as that! Light is my go-to shade, but since I came back from Europe, I mix light and medium to get my match! Let’s hope that IT Cosmetics expands their color range because it’s such an amazing product!

Eyeshadow Palette: Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

Many of you already know, I love this palette! I bought it over a year ago when I purchased the ABH x Mario eyeshadow palette. Hands down, this is my go-to palette. The warm-toned colors are so beautiful, and to my surprise, Love Letter and Realgar are colors that I’m always using. The formula and pigmentation of the eyeshadows are A+, which makes it a staple in my MUA kit!

Make-Up Application: Beauty Blender Sponge

Yes, this is a must-have! I’ve tried many sponges, but I can’t live without the Beauty Blender. I also use the Real Techniques sponges because they’re more affordable, but the Beauty Blender never fails me when it comes to blending. The sponge is expensive but well worth the price. I mentally justify my purchase by using olive oil and dish soap to clean them. Bye, bye bacteria, & hello brand new looking sponge!

Highlight: BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfectors

I love the shade OPAL and it’s amazing for my skin tone and complexion. I pretty much love them all because the formula is like no other. They are not chunky or glittery whatsoever, but smooth, creamy and pigmented. The shimmering skin perfectors can be applied to achieve a subtle highlight, or you can apply it heavily for that JLO glow. Below are some of my favorite picks! I highlight recommend the Apres Ski Glow Face Palette because you get 3 highlighters (Opal, Rose Quartz & Icicle), 2 blushes & a bronzer. If you’ve yet to try BECCA’s shimmering skin perfectors, you have to pick it up as this palette is perfect for all skin tones.

Mascara: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I love this mascara! It’s hands down one of the best that I’ve tried. I’m all about honesty when it comes to recommending and reviewing products. If this mascara is too expensive for your budget, I understand. A good dupe for this is the Loreal Lash Paradise mascara which retails for about $10 vs. $23. The Better Than Sex mascara is great for volumizing and separating my lashes, but the downside is that it dries out too quickly. It’s a love/hate relationship, but I always get asked what mascara I’m wearing when I’ve applied it, so I know people see a difference & that’s the reason why I’ll keep repurchasing!

Do you have acne, scarring, or blackheads? If so, you NEED this. This isn’t an oil I’d mix in with your foundation, it’s more of an oil to apply in the morning after cleansing and before bed. I’m sure it’s more effective to apply the oil before going to bed so that it works throughout the night. Everyone who I’ve recommended this oil to absolutely loves it! I’ve turned friends, family, and clients– even strangers onto this stuff. I truly believe it’s one of the BEST (effective) oils out there! It does have a strong herbal scent which I did not like at first, but I got over it quickly. Just a few drops onto your face every night and your pores will clear up! Don’t sleep on it!

Fragrance: YSL: Black Opium Parfum

If you like sweet fragrances, you’ll like this one! I purchased this about 7-8 months ago and I think it’s a good scent to wear year round. I say that because I have some fragrances that I’ve bought that I only wear during the Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer months. It’s hard to describe perfumes, but it’s a sweet & sexy type of scent. It’s not too overwhelming and the staying power is amazing! Everyone’s body chemistry is different, so I recommend going to the store & testing it out– try asking for a small sample

Notes: Coffee Accord, Orange Blossom, Cedarwood Essence, Patchouli Essense.

Fragrance: Maison Margiela: ‘Replica’ Jazz Club

Where to start with this lovely scent here. For starters, it’s completely different than YSL’s Black Opium. In fact, Jazz Club is advertised as a cologne for men, but I really don’t care because I LOVE this scent. Thank you, Sephora for getting me hooked on this through a sample in one of my orders. Since that day, the obsession has been real. With a black dress on and Jazz Club as the scent of choice, I feel like I can do anything. I vibe with this scent on SO many levels!!

If any of you know me, I love my Bath & Body Works candles, especially scents like Mahogany Teakwood, Flannel, Villa Bergamot, Marshmallow Fireside, etc. Anything with Bergamot, Amber, Musk, Cedarwood, and Vanilla are my kind of scents. I like a mix of sweet, florals, and musk. So do me a favor, go to Sephora, spray it, and tell me I’m not crazy for loving this. I honestly think it’s an amazing unisex fragrance, so try it even if you don’t buy it.

Notes: Pink Pepper, Primofiore Lemon, Neroli Oil, Rum Absolute, Clary Sage Oil, Java Vetiver Oil, Tobacco Leaf Absolute, Vanilla Bean, Styrax Resin.

I hope you all get a chance to shop the Sephora VIB sale and hope my recommendations are helpful. Let me know what you plan to purchase during the sale in the comments below. If you have must-have items, I would love to give them a try!

I have been wanting to try the cc cream from it so I will be picking it up. The UFO oil sounds great so I’ll add it to my cart and hope it’ll clear my skin. I read all the way to the end and had such a good laugh. Since you do hair, pick up Ouai products if you haven’t tried them yet.

    • Yay, so good to hear! I hope you love the products that you buy! As for Ouai, I like the texturizing spray, but I felt like it worked, and then didn’t. Maybe I need to give it another shot and test out some other products from Ouai 🙂
