A NEVER ENDING SUMMER, COULD THIS BE TRUE? The heat was crazy this past week, to say the least with San Diego heating up to 105+ degrees. I honestly can’t recall the last time it was this hot in October. I am SO envious of everyone who’s been enjoying the fall weather, leaves changing colors, etc. But, I’m excited about the 70-degree weather coming up this week!! So today, I’m bringing fall to you with this nail polish and you can bet I’m sipping on a PSL while typing away.
WHAT: ESSIE ‘CHINCHILLY’
On the spotlight today is Essie’s ‘Chincilly.’ I am all about the grey and anything cool toned this year, not to say that I won’t be wearing warm tones though 😉 I’ve had ‘Chincilly’ for about 2 years now and I still love it! It’s a color I keep coming back to as soon as we hit the end of September! ‘Chinchilly’ is a neutral/ cool toned grey– sort of hard to describe because it looks different in various lighting. Although mostly grey, I see just a smidge of purple. All in all, it’s chic, wears well, and I’m lovin’ it.
I applied my trusty Seche Vite Base Coat and Seche Dry Fast Top Coat, along with 2 coats of color in the photos above. I think it’s a stunning color, very work appropriate, applies evenly (must apply 2 coats), and lasts for about a week w/out chipping. With my light skin, I feel like Essie’s ‘Chinchilly’ can do no wrong, but I truly believe anyone can rock this color!
Below is a picture that I took last year with ‘Chinchilly’ on my nails!
PROS: long-wearing, smooth finish, great for everyday wear!
CONS: 2 coats for good opacity
