Yup, it’s officially fall in San Diego!! Technically, fall begins on September 21st, but up until last week, San Diego was still experiencing the 100˚ + heat wave. It’s 64˚ today and officially fall because I just made my first pumpkin loaf of the season!! I’m really excited, to say the least!

Hii Everyone! Coming to you with a really yummy and vegetarian-friendly soup as the cold weather approaches. Recently, I traveled to Canada for my cousin’s wedding and it was freezing! I mean 36 degrees fahrenheit kind of freezing and was craving this soup! As I live in San Diego, our fall and winter nights can range from 40-65 degrees, not bad in comparison to my peeps along the east coast. Being middle eastern, I grew up eating this soup and I love changing it up here and there to keep things interesting. Also, it’s typical for a middle eastern to have lentil soup in the morning for breakfast, but I prefer to eat soup for lunch or dinner. Keep on reading for the recipe– hope you enjoy! xx
